Jerrie Walks
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting The book on Walks is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Walks always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The switch-hitting Walks has better plate coverage and more power from the left side than when he bats righthanded.
Baserunning & Defense Walks isn't a fluid first baseman, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. Jerrie's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Walks doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often.
