Louis Smink   Relief Pitcher | Free Agents Pitching Sometimes I wish he'd just give up on throwing the changeup, it's like a BP ball! If you're going in to face Smink, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. He attacks lefties and righties the same way. Defense & Hitting He doesn't hold runners very close, which gives his catcher a bit of a workout. Smink comes off the mound hard toward the third base side on his delivery, making it difficult for him to field balls to the right side or to cover first base on a close play. Smink is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Smink has some pop in his swing. 2025 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Smink to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
