Al Rimmer
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting In past seasons, Rimmer has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Rimmer is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense When you play Rimmer you're not putting him in for his glove. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. Rimmer has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.
2025 Outlook Rimmer isn't cutting the mustard in the low minors. It's time for Al to investigate other career options, like coaching highschool ball.
