Hitting
One thing's for sure, late in the game you're glad you have him on the field. With his ability to hit for average and his sound batting eye, he makes a good No. 2 hitter. One of the nice things about Jonathan is that he's a real clutch hitter. If it's late in the game, and there are men on base, you want this guy at the plate. Knowles always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He likes to pull the ball, but don't be surprised if he puts the ball the opposite field from time to time. He's a smart batter and takes good note of how the fielders are shading him.
Baserunning & Defense
Knowles isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. Minor league scouts have accused Knowles of being a liability in the field. His arm is accurate enough.
2024 Outlook
The Moose Jaw Dragons signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Knowles like a hot potato if something better comes along.
