Hayworth provides an ongoing clinic on how to hit .300. He works the count in his favor, waiting for his pitch or settling for a walk. He's still a singles hitter at heart, and knows how to shorten up and protect the plate with two strikes. Hayworth always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Hayworth uses the entire field and typically produces a couple of hitting streaks of 10 or more games during a season.
Baserunning & Defense
Aggressive on the basepaths, Hayworth is a good basestealer and takes the extra base when needed most. Hayworth isn't a fluid left fielder, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is well above average both in strength and accuracy.
