In past seasons, Brown has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Brown is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Brown when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.
Baserunning & Defense
Brown isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His arm is accurate enough.
2025 Outlook
Brown was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I think The Retired or Inactive Players just didn't want to be left out of the Rule-V draft, why else would you sign Brown?
