Dave Bookout   First Baseman | Guelph Storm Hitting His strong wrists and hands not only give him explosive power but also impressive bat control. He remains dangerous even with two strikes. During the last two years, he has become more patient and gotten better loft on the ball. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. Bookout uses the entire field and typically produces a couple of hitting streaks of 10 or more games during a season. Baserunning & Defense Bookout is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. When you play Bookout you're not putting him in for his glove.
