The Mustangs have started the season with a 14-7 record, and is currently 3 games ahead of Guelph in the Fishermen West division. Timely hitting and strong starting pitching has led the the team towards the top of the Fishermen's league standings.
Hooks Fife is now 4-0 with an ERA of 1.52 and 41 Ks in 5 games started. With an average of of 1 K per inning pitched, he may be the first CBL pitcher (and possibly the last) to reach 4,000 strikeouts. He is currently at 3,866.
Scott Petrie is holding his own as well, and is now a top level starter, having compiled a 3-0 record with an ERA of 1.31 in 4 starts.
Luke Meservy (2.87 ERA) and Ryan Curry (2.84 ERA) are also doing their part in the rotation.
The only disappointments so far are Kyle Stonestreet (5.47 ERA) and closer Asdrubal Cruz (10.80 ERA) who were very solid last season, but are off to a horrendous start to this season.
A lot of baseball is left to be played, but these first 20 games gives London a lot of confidence to earn its first playoff berth since 2010.
